Language and Technology

Language and Technology is a peer-reviewed, international and interdisciplinary journal which leads the field in its dedication to all matters associated with the use of technology in the first, second and foreign language acquisition, teaching and learning processes. 

Language and Technology publishes high-quality, original research.

The scope of the journal is wide-ranging and embraces various disciplines.

Submitted papers may focus on Language and Technology and:

    First language acquisition

    Second language acquisition and learning

    Foreign language teaching and learning

    Basic language skills

    Testing and evaluation

    Pre- and in-service teacher education

    Research methodologies

    Language teaching methods and techniques

    Technolgy-assisted language learning and teaching

The journal only publishes manuscripts in English.

We are committed to peer-review integrity and obtaining the highest standards of review. After the editor has assessed your paper for suitability, it will be double-blind peer-reviewed by anonymous expert referees.

Papers should be submitted in Word format. Figures and tables should be given in the main text.

APA Style is preferred for references.

Please include all authors’ full names, affiliations, postal addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses on the title page.

Please include ORCID identifiers.

The abstract should not be more than 250 words.

3 -5 keywords should be included.

Please supply all details required by your funding and grant-awarding bodies.

Please supply a short biographical note for each author.

Please supply editable files.

Please ensure that equations are editable.

If you need to include any material in your paper for which you do not hold the copyright, you will need to obtain written permission from the copyright owner prior to submission.

You will need to create an account in the submission center before submission.

Authors

All authors must warrant that their article is their own original work.

All authors named on the paper are equally held accountable for the content of their paper.

The corresponding author must ensure all named co-authors consent to publication.

When required, authors must facilitate access to datasets given in the article.

Reviewers

Reviewers must give unbiased consideration to each manuscript submitted.

Reviewers must declare any potential conflict of interest.

Reviewers must keep the peer review process confidential.

Reviewers should provide a peer review report.

Reviewers should make all reasonable efforts to submit their reports and recommendation in a timely manner.

Reviewers should inform the journal editor about any significant similarity between the manuscript under consideration and any published paper.



Editors

Editors must keep the peer-review process confidential.

Journal editors should make effort to process submitted manuscripts in a timely manner.


Journal editors should arrange for the responsibility of the peer review of any original research article submitted by a member of the editorial board. 

The journal is open access.

The author(s) and the journal are the owners of copyright in scholarly works published.

The journal allows the author(s) to copy and re-distribute the material.

There is no charge or fee for any submitted or accepted articles.
